MU x VidyaXR: Martian Human Evolution

MU x VidyaXR: Martian Human Evolution

Project Overview

A WebXR experience for the Masters' Union BioScience Summit 2026, showing the human body evolve over 100,000 years on Mars, on a display or a Meta Quest.

For the Next Gene BioScience Summit, hosted by Masters' Union School of BioSciences in Gurugram on 19 September 2026, VidyaXR set out to show what spatial learning can do for biology. MEPROTECH built the centrepiece: a simulation of how the human body might evolve over 100,000 years under Martian conditions, with 0.38 g gravity, high radiation and thin air.

Visitors start on Earth with a full anatomical model and switch between anatomical systems, from skin and skeleton to the organs, the cardiovascular network and the nervous system. On Mars, a timeline runs from today to 100,000 years, and the body and its live biometric readouts change as it goes: a taller stature, larger lungs, lower bone density and a shifted skin tone.

The experience runs in the browser on a large booth display or inside Meta Quest headsets over the local network, fully offline, with controller support for scrubbing the timeline, cycling layers, recentring and an automated tour. MEPROTECH also planned the booth layout and the event operations for a ten-headset setup.

  • 100,000-year evolution timeline under Mars conditions
  • Switchable skin, skeleton, organ, cardio and neural layers
  • Live biometric readouts that change with the timeline
  • Booth display and Meta Quest headsets, fully offline
  • Controller support and an automated tour
  • Built with Three.js and WebXR
