Real Cricket
Project Overview
Real Cricket is a first-person VR cricket game for Meta Quest: pick up the bat, face the bowler and time your shot. Designed and developed by MEPROTECH.
Real Cricket puts players at the crease from the batter's point of view. They pick up the bat, face the bowler, read the delivery and time the shot, with realistic bat and ball physics, ball trajectory tracking and feedback on every stroke, in a stadium with a crowd and 3D surround sound.
Players choose a format, from ODI and T20 to a Super Over or a target chase, and face right-arm and left-arm pace and spin with different variations. They can pick from three bats and four balls, including a hard tennis ball, and set their batting stance and the difficulty before each match.
MEPROTECH designed and developed the game for Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro, playable with controllers or hand tracking, seated, standing or roomscale, with no internet needed. A recent update added a live player and team scorecard with wickets, overs, bowling figures and the next bowler.
